evo 8 10.5 to evo 9 turbo??

Im going to switch to a 9 turbo soon, and was wondering what people have gained or heard of about the swap? I know the 9 turbo's flow alot better and I will send it out in the winter for the fp treatment but for now what kinda gains would be seen typically. I made 380whp and 415tq and ivey tune at around 27lbs with my 8 turbo, so when I go back hopefully looking to see over the 400 mark. I have all the basic mods only thing im going to change is injectors once I go fp. The car is my daily for now so not looking to break any dyno records just nice and reliable. The car has gsc s2's, aquamist hsf5, ets ic, and all supporting bolts ons.

i say dont waste ur time, just send it out to FP and get a red or even a black (better), you will prolly gain another 30-40 whp if you do the swap. get a red or a black and have bigger gains...just my .02 cent

Ill post up a dyno sheet soon once I scan it but Im in the process of getting my 9 turbo so im sending that out instead of the 8 turbo. I have hks intake, ets ic and pipes, megan exhaust, gsc s2's with beehive springs, arp studs, hsf5, tial bov, a bunch of other little things nothing special. looking to do ID 1000cc with the red to go along with my speed density conversion and spoolin up cop for the retune. But Sean Ivey doesnt do speed density on stock ecu yet so im up in the air about it right now

I just made this today on my stock 8 turbo, I cant wait to see what the car will do with a IX turbo might not fall off after 6.5k so fast lol. has no smoothing and was done in 88 degree heat but I used no weather correction.

Nice numbers for the stock 8 turbo. I have almost the same setup minus the cams so I've been wanting to ask the same question. Sounds like the way to go would be to get a IX turbo and have it converted.

what kind of meth mixture are you running? That's a good amount of torque you're making.

You wish to have a IX turbo reconfigured into what exactly?

I made 380whp and 415wtq on my evo 9, with no meth straight 93 oct (Mods: Full exhaust, Full IC piping, Buschur FMIC, Ported IM, and TB, Cosworth m3 cams)... so just imagine what you will make by adding meth... I predict 415-425 whp and 450-455 wtq...
