Megan Racing Exhaust

Is anyone running a Megan Racing Down pipe or Exhaust system on their car or know of someone that is? Pics?

How did the DP fit up to the stock 02 housing? Clearance problems? Any issues with using the stock donut gasket or if you had to buy a flat gasket, where & how much?

How does the exhaust sound? I am especially curious to know if the muffler sits in the "stock" muffler position like the AMS or Vishnu system.

I didnt find this set-up while doing a search.

I thought I had a volunteer in San Diego for sound clips, fitting article, etc.

I haven't heard from him yet, but once I do I'll have him get as much information as possible for you guys.

I went to the 935motorsports website & the pics only showed a side shot of the muffler on an evo. Not to informative. Has 935 seen this system installed on an evo 8? I am really interested in a rear view picture of this exhaust. I prefer a muffler that sits in the stock location vs. a buschur or hks system.

I prefer the stealthier look.

I'm still waiting for a volunteer to put the exhaust on and take pictures and borrow it for a week. Anyone in San Diego? No cost to you.

I want an exhaust that is similar in layout as the stock unit. I undestand your looking at any way possible to minimize the backpressure when running the stock turbo, hence the buschur racing set-up, i.e. minimal bends.

I appreciate ALL THE INFO that david buschur provides to this forum. You dont mess around. That say's a lot to me.

However, In my eye's I am willing to give up a few ponies for a cleaner look.

The fact that nobody in this forum has a megan exhasut system says................well you make your own conclusion!

That just tell me that we have educated shoppers. You wouldn't just go buying an exhaust system without detailed pictures and information unless there were some advantage.

I'm sure when a couple of people have it more will follow. The 2 evolutions that that use them, are at the company that sells them so it's hard to get any end user information.

I'm interested in what the average Joe thinks.

Is it possible to get either of the 2 user to snap off some digital pics to view? As stated earlier, if the exhaust system is lay'd out as the stock exhaust, you may have some business. Along with having the megan system posted in a forum where all can then decide if they want to go that route.

Yes, that is the point of letting someone borrow the system. I want them to provide me with digital installation pictures and note any installation problems, if they occur.

I live in San Diego and I'm in search for an inexpensive yet good quality exhaust system. Judging by the photos, the Megan racing Exhaust appears to look well built. My questions are does the muffler angle out toward the side or straight back? and are you still looking for volunteers for exhaust fitment?

thanks
randy

All the Megan Exhausts I have seen exit straight including this one. I am still looking for a volunteer.
