damn

I took me evo to the grocery store and back and on the way back i stopped at a stop sign and then proceded through in first gear I hit the throttle, not wot but gave it enough to hit decent boost and I heard a weird sound not a bang or a pop but kind of a thud? I let off the throttle instantly and turned into where my neighborhood was where I turned off the car and restarted it. It fired right up and the engine doesn't make any weird sound but when I shift into first or second gear it like bumps when u drive if that makes sense and I can't hit any rpms. I limped it the quarter of a mile home and here it sits. What could it be? I was messing with my apexi turbo timer when it did it but i was just switching through the different graphics to show my mom. I just got the car so I was showing it off, guess that's what happens when you show off. I wasn't driving it that hard obviously. I was with my mother. Any help greatly appreciated oh and it has a sheppard 5 spd racing tranny installed about 10k milesish ago? I also have the stock 6 spd sitting in my garrage. would you guys say it's a tranny problem or motor problem or something else? it kind of feels like its running out of gas when i hit the throttle like limping on empty. but theirs a lil under half a tank. any help greatly appreciated.

It sound like one of you couplers blew off your intercooler piping. I would check there first. Same thing happened to me getting on the highway a couple weeks ago, and mine was doing the exact same thing. The coupling on my LICP blew off. Hope this helps and GL

+1 Inspect the couplings and you are sure to find one disconnected or loose.

Hairspray gets super tacky and will help keep the coupler's from sliding/popping off under boost
