Service Engine Soon light?

Okay, anybody had their EVO "service engine soon" light go on? What the f**k? I only got 4500 miles and so far, all I did was stick on a Blitz Turbo Timer.

If you had that light come on, what happened?

just reset the ecu... run on search on how to do it... everything is fine... it's just like the required maitenence light in honda's just needs to be reset... the dealer usually takes care of it when you get your oil changed...

I wouldn't dismiss it that easily. Better to have the code pulled than be sorry. Find someone with scan tool or take it Auto Zone and have them pull the code for you. I got a P0300(Random misfire) code three times but everything was cool.

dude,
very easy fix, just shut car off..open gas door remove cap and replace cap and re-start car.
the car is equipped with a pressurised gas system..and sometimes if u dont put cap on properly that will cause this.
try it ...no gurantee but this should work.
it happened to me....and that was how i fixed it.
