Question Quartermaster Twin 3rd gear high rpm lockout

Following all instructions found here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...djustment.html I STILL am experiencing trouble shifting into 3rd at over 7500rpms. This is driving me nuts. Any help?

That makes 2 of us. All other gears seem to be fine, it's just that high rpm 2nd to 3rd shift that kills me

I most certainly hope not considering it was just fully built by Dogbox Racing here in NJ. 3rd gear shifts perfectly fine under 7500rpm as do the other gears. Should I maybe re-bleed the whole system?

mine shifts perfect all the way to 4th. internal tranny problem. all it takes is one hard missed shift and there goes the syncro or shift fork.

Probably a bent shift fork.

It could be a lot of things. How many threads are showing on your clutch pedal engagement?

I got that crunch too, I was told it was 3rd to 4th syncro. Doesn't make sense to me but what I was told none the less.

4th gear is the most common to miss shift and kill the fork. ive done it twice. also its common to have the crunch going into 3rd. which is fine BC is still shifts great.

if adjustment doesn't seem to help and you have made sure there is no air in the system and it only seems to happen in 3rd gear then its most likely internal...(good possibility fork or synchro)
