Compresion help
i did a compression test this morning just to check it since i havent done one in 2 years. i had the throttle open, disconnected the crank sensor, and then tested it. i forgot to warm the car up, its been sitting for 2 days now. so these results r with a cold motor.
140 160 170 180
now two years ago i my numbers were
170 170 170 180.
i will try and do a test with my engine warmed up tonight but would it make much difference. i havent noticed anything odd when i checked my plugs, no oil builup and the cylinders where dry from what i could c with my flashlight. i did not do the oil in the cylinder test yet as i wanted some feedback on my numbers, it just seemed weird that my numbers decreases the farther from the t/b. im not losing oil any more then normal. so i dont think its a block issure im thinkin its either the cold motor or something in the head.

also the #1 and 2 cylinders were bone dry as far as the spark plugs and the cylinder. they also had the least compression. number 3 and 4 had looked damp when i looked down into the cylinders with a flashlight. maybe a headgasket? i dont have anydiscoloration in my oil or coolant.
ok after i drove to my friends house i did another comp check after about 30 min of cool down since i didnt have and gloves and these r my results.
160 160 170 170
so i feel much better with those numbers.
