So all you did was replace your downpipe and now your car is uber fast ???? I'm glad you're happy with the modification, but the DP mod is not new to the community (as has already been pointed out)....Congrats on post #46....I think you'd be even more surprised if you did back to back tests to show what you gained by doing just the DP...

I stayed away from it because I DD the car and don't want it to be louder than it is with the HF cat and 3 in catback BUT I DON"T NOTICE IT BEING ANY LOUDER!!!

All this time I thought it was going to make my ears bleed and it barely changed, if at all. I'll be putting on the dynomax VT muffler this week so i'll post how that goes.

Want to make it even better? Change the o2 housing, wont make it any louder either.

Way too long, cat is restrictive, and why bother recirculating the wastegate? This is a real downpipe:

It's not my first mod guys, I have 330 on the pruven perfeormance dynojet. I know that's high reading and not alot of power but still better than stock.

And I'm not trying to announce the benifits of the DP like none of you had any clue.

MY POINT WAS THAT IT DOESN'T MAKE IT ANY LOUDER.

That was not mentioned anywhere in this forum, QUITE THE CONTRARY!

Everyone says it makes it too loud, but it doesn't.

I can laugh at myself and realize that you all know dp's are good, but take it easy guys.

I pulled a Mercedes C 6.3 AMG at the lights in Boston tonight. Yeah, it was the downpipe that won it.

I actually had at one point just a straight down piece of 3" pipe coming off the o2 housing with a slant cut so it was even with the front cross member. That was badass. It wasnt as loud as the ones that go under the floor on the inside of the car, and who cares about how loud it is outside! That was a wicked "exhaust". It was light too.
