Thanks for your input. I was going to sell my ff kit bc I was worried about overheating in daily driving conditions. I bought a koyo so hopefully everything will be ok.

Anyone know who makes the absolute best fan that moves the most cfm.

Also does it make a huge difference whether it is shrouded or not?

i plan on keeping the AC, useing a honda condenser as a replacement for the oe. the factory system uses a variable size orifice valve so this should allow for a minimal drop in system efficiency in all but the hottest conditions.

has any one ever done this? my searches dident turn up much.

I thought with all mini radiators you have to lose the AC ?

Is there any smaller AC unit that can be substituted for the oem ?

spal fans are top of the line and move alot of air you will be able to feel the air from under your car with the hood closed lol they are like jets when they start up i order mine from the the fan man google him and shrouded fans are more efficient just like a puller is over a pusher

mini radiator has no effect on ac. one of the reasons to run a mini radiator is because you run a huge turbo. another reason is for forward facing turbos. with a FF turbo, you remove your ac condenser because of the placement of the turbo. thats the only time you HAVE to remove the ac condenser.

You need to look at the pressure vs flow curves to truly see which fans move the most air. SPAL fans move A LOT more then most fans out there as the pressures get up even slightly above free flow conditions. The downfall though is they are much thicker fans, which goes hand in hand with being able to move air at higher pressures.

Buschur's FF is one of the kits that allow you to still retain AC.

I believe its been said a civic condenser and new AC lines will work. I have yet to see someone actually go through the trouble of getting that done. I may do it to be honest.

We have a killer half width radiator, I believe it is the best available, custom built for us from Fluidyne, but we only offer it with AN fittings in and out. We use a Spal fan on them and have no issues.

Our FF kit will fit the a/c compressor but we do not have a half width condenser, so using a/c with our FF kit is not possible.

Since this thread started asking about using a half width radiator with a NON forward facing turbo kit, I have another solution. We also will be offering, very shortly, a 3/4 width radiator for the stock appearing turbo guys. The radiators were custom built for us, again by Fluidyne, and are here on our shelf. We have no released them yet as I have a car coming in to install it on and build an air box/inlet for the factory turbos, making them essentially forward facing. The radiators can be sold as-is without the air box/inlet now but ideally we will release a complete kit that includes the radiator and air inlet.

In order for the air box to work the a/c condenser will need to be removed, just like a FF kit.

That's a cool idea!
