Exedy Twin -Lockout gears

Bought a used twin on some guy on the forum with the disc around 3.4 mm thick. I decided to put it in the car untill I receive the new replacement disc .The clutch was working fine once I adjusted the pedal but now its locking me out of gears and tight to go in when it isnt locked out. I figure that the disc were the problem as they were bought with less than half their life span but what has me puzzled is my engaugement point is no lower than before. Is this still the disc that need replacing , is it a sign of something warped (Pressure p, disc etc).

The intermediate plates warp very easily on those clutches. Did you inspect the parts with a straight edge to see if the were warped at all? This could prevent the clutch from disengaging which would lock you out.

I have 2 new disc to install so I guess ill check them when I pull the tranny. Hope its just a case of worn disc as they were already less than 1/2 the thickness from new.

Actually sorry I should really explain better. I just doesnt wanna go in gear even to put it in 1st to move off. Sometimes i have to scitch off, put it in 1st then start it in gear to move off. I did a reasonable amount of launches testing my 2-step and preparing for a drag meet. Wasnt like this before. Just wanna know if worm disc have these signs ao I could have piece of mind and I have 2 new disc to replace them with

Check the intermediate plates for warping. Save yourself the headache of having the trans in and out.
