quick o2 sensor question

Just wondering, if I am going to be running a forward facing manifold with a custom downpipe and AEM EMS, do I need to keep the upper o2 sensor? (sensor closest to turbo)

right now i dont have a wideband. the o2 sensor that im speaking of is the one located closest to the turbo...and is screwed into the o2 housing. i found out today that as long as im running AEM standalone i will not need that anymore.

You don't need it for the AEM EMS. Not sure about your state, but I had to keep mine, and added a bung for it in order to pass for my inspection. Everyone asks me how I have a legit inspection sticker with an AEM EMS haha.

I have a ff kit with aem and I don't have any factory 02 sensors. I only have the wideband sensor hooked up to the aem. I tucked away the plug
