whos running an ex wg on an FP turbo?
hey guys im just wondering who here is running an ex wg setup on a FP stock framed turbo?
i already started my shopping and will be doing the ex wg setup on my FP Red, along with a list of other goodies. i just wanted to see how everyone likes the ex wg esp for drag racing.
please only chime in IF you have or had an ex wg setup on a stock framed turbo. i already know everyones opinions on what you think about it. thanks

The second reason that you are not likely to get many responses is that you ask for responses only from peeps that have done it. Well, we get back to the fact that only a couple of people have tried this that I am aware of.
I realize that you are not interested in my opinion, BUT, I´ll give it to you anyway at no charge. The only true remote gated setup would be sourced pre-turbine. That is it would be flanged at the manifold runners.
Since the 16G turbine housing is a twin scroll design then the purists would call for a dual flanged manifold with dual external gates.
Maybe you could describe the setup which you are contemplating. Still, if you limit responses only to people who have actually run a remote gated 16G you are not gonna get a whole lot of feedback.

Friend of mine is going ex wg on his FP red, but it's in the process of being built and I don't know the specifics of his setup...

i had to get a new downpipe since mines been dented for the longest so i was lookin at the QTP dp and possibly an o2 dump, so thats when i stumbled upon this gift from god and he answered my prayers with an even better solution with an ex wg with the dump tube lol
i know there arent many people running an ex wg thats y i asked who was...i thought i read somewhere the stupid fast 9 and 10 second guys with the Red and Black were running ex wg, so i guess thats who i was hoping was gonna answer my question

Ok I'm responding from my iPhone, if it gets blurry or doesnt make any sense it's not my fault
I'm currently running the same map downpipe with the 38mm wastegate on my hta green. I bought it originally for the stock ix. For two reasons mostly.
1st Every single one of my boosted cars that I have owned, have had an external wastegate on them, I just notice it hits boost more accurately and doesnt spike as high. If I want to set it at 22psi, I want it to stick at 22. Not spike to 25 then drop.
2nd, Is because I just don't feel that an internal wastegate is efficient enough to release enough air flow fast enough at higher psi.
It may be overkill for my setup but I enjoy it nicely. I removed the internal flapper an welded the little rod on the outside to stop it from vibratng, worked perfect for me
