Evosick2332 2011 "Junk Box" Build in Effect!!
^ Ill definetly post when the exact day we play on going to the track. It will most likely be during the weekend. Hopefully mid-april towards the end, we will get a perfect day outside with no rain hahaha. More pics to come later!!
Hey everyone,
Well the car is almost done. If everything goes smoothly today and tomorrow morning we will be firing it up and ill take it home for break in miles
I know i have been slacking with getting pics, but dont worry ill have some up later today. In the meantime, I had a little break from work and was going through some old pics from a few years ago. This is my 3rd Evo. My first one was a brand new IX. Then sold for a Cobra, then bought a 03 LY Evo, then to this one. I have some pics of the yellow Evo followed by pics of my Evo now when i first bought it haha. Figured i would share.
Heres my Yellow Evo, this was in 2008. Its crazy how the time flies.

The car made some power! It was a RNR Kit with a BB 3582 Stock block/head with cams/springs/retainers. Pretty much all the supporting mods on full weight the car went 11.04@128. Never went back to the track, was hoping to get it into the 10s.
Heres pics of my current Evo when i first bought it mostly stock
Its crazy how far this car has become.

This pick was at the end of 2009. Stock block/head Fp Red. Full weight running 10.59@131.

Car went 10.59@131 was the best pass before i put a rod through my block
Heres last years setup with the Fp Black. Best pass 9.76@142 Best Trap 147.01.

Cant wait for this season everyone!!
Car is coming out totally different and on the proll to make a 8 sec pass hopefully. I have an appointment in a few weeks to get a cage in the car. Going with a 10 point cage with the shute mount. So when i do drive on the street i can remove the shute and drive it around. Sorry i was bored and wanted to share some old pics hahaha.

Hahaha thats funny you asked that because ive been asked that before and I have not broke anything at the track besides the motor that one day. When i went to the track with my black evo now back in the day on stock clutch, stock turbo, pump gas, with a turboback FMIC, Upper pipe i went 12.33. After that day, my clutch started slipping. I never broke trans, tcase, diff, axles anything. All last season running 9s, never broke once. I have the DSS stage 5 axles and all the bushings in my diff but everything stayed together. I was quite happy lol.
Cool yea I was just wondering if I needed anything in my drivetrain beefed up before it breaks. Of course it probably has a lot to do with the driver also. Good luck to you this year
Just get rear diff bushings, trail arm bushings, if you dont have those already and maybe the AMS rear mustache bar and you will be set. Thats what i had in my drivetrain and my tcase held up like a champ. Thanks man!

Oh dont get me wrong, there will be times where I will drive around the street with it on, but the majority of it will be off haha. Sounds good dude, come down to Chi town this summer and will go for a cruise
