MAPerformance one piece o2/downpipe qstn

Will this full 3" unit seen here: http://www.maperformance.com/map-sta...2e-ss-evo.html

bolt up to a stock evo 8 cat?

Anyone have any idea how this performs compared to a Tomei Expreme 02 and downpipe?

Yes, it will bolt up to the stock cat with no issue.

I don't think I've seen anybody actually use that Tomei piece, no not sure about the back to back comparison. I have the map product on my car and love it. No complaints here.

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking it would be too big to bolt up to the stock cat. You 100% sure it will bolt up?

In Australia (not sure about US) the 8's and 9's have a slightly different angle on the engine side cat flange - what fits an 8 wont fit a 9 (its about 10 degrees out).

Anyone had any issues with the MAP product cracking over time? I'm buying second hand, and the one I'm looking at has about 3 months use on it, but I don't want to be taking it off to be repaired frequently (especially as its one piece).

Just about all parts bolt to a stock cat and catback unless otherwise listed. Its not hard to send them a Email and ask if we are not good enough when others have already said yes.

I PM'd one of the MAPerformance reps on here, perhaps an email will elicit a faster response.

It's not that anyone on here is 'not good enough', but would you spend a few hundred dollars based on the opinion of one person you don't know? I'm only a new member, the guy could be an expert and I wouldn't know it.

I'm sure you will be hearing back in regards to the PM shortly, we just got in the office after the weekend Regardless this unit will bolt to the stock cat in a USDM application, as you mentioned above if there is any difference in the ADM version that may not be the case.

I can compare it to the Evo Power Mods one, EPM fit better and more clearence compared to map performance.

Hopefully they resolved the lower intercooler pipe issues that were predominant in their O2 dump and decided to use SS flanges that won't rust. Have you personally owned one of our O2 eliminator downpipes sir? I can't seem to recall a single fitment issue since we have been offering them, and Tom Powell aka 9sec9 didn't mention anything, he set an FP Black record with this product if I recall correctly.

Your comment insinuated that another product fit better than ours? Have you owned our product at all to give 100% accurate information?
