Replacing the rear diff
Replacing the rear diff
I have a
Lancer Evolution IV GSR and I have blown the rear diff for the second time. I am considering putting in the LSD kit for the AYC diff made by Cusco. Has anybody done this and what is there thoughts? The other option is to replace the AYC unit with a mechnical version.
Can anybody reply if they have had problems with the rear diff in there evo. This seems to be a problem and I would like to know if other people are having the same thing.

You use the car like you should and the AYC cant take it. Why insist on keeping AYC? No fun!
Replace with RS diff. You will need a complete unit with housing and the upper and lower metal parts that hold it in place (the name of which I keep forgetting), new driveshafts (get used ones) and propeller shaft
Looking at £2000 here.
I am currently in the process of junking my AYC unit because I think AYC is no fun to drive with. Replacing the whole thing.
I started looking into replacing it with a CUSCO or something, but this way I save weight as well.
