Tune has gone almost 1 full point more lean?!
i actually posted up in another related thread and thought I would come back to the one I started. I put a new walbro in last week. much quieter, things are a little more smooth, but it did not magically cure my problem. Had it on the dyno the other day. AFR are solid 11.8-12.2 but that's with 100% meth also. The only problem is that I am still only making pump gas numbers and as soon as I hit 5k in 3-4-5 I register 8 -10 counts of knock like clockwork. I have to check the nozzle on the meth line but im pretty sure its free and clear. What is the best way to go about testing the fuel injectors to make sure they are spraying and delivering the fuel I need?
BTW the numbers were 330/325 on a mustang dyno. quite lack luster considering the mods and how the car has ran in the past...

yeah the only issue I have with that approach is that the kit worked extremely well for a good 8 months making great power. Meth wont make the car knock. A tuning issue or mechanical issue will cause it. Meth will actually suppress knock with cooling properties and an octane increase on a properly running motor. Something has gone awry and I dont want to bandaid it. Whether the meth stays in or out, there is an issue somewhere that needs to be addressed...
I have a similar problem and I'm still working on it. I checked the voltage powering my walbro pump and found out that the voltage changes even during WOT runs. Somtimes I get 12V and then AFRs are ok, just like they were tuned in the dyno and other times during WOT i get like 7 or 8V on the pump. When that happens fuel pressure is to low and I get dangerously high AFRs. I unplugged the Fuel Pump Relay 3 and connected pins 1-2 on the plug. I did couple of WOT runs and got 13V or so during all runs and AFR values just like they should be. So in my opinion it's the system trying to force the pump to work in low voltage even under WOT instead of high voltage. What do you think? When I put the relay back in place the problem comes back. What exactly is Fuel Pump Relay 3 responsible for in the system?
