Lightbulb stock turbo 11psi question Yes another

05 stock turbo, boosting 11psi (wastegate) with MBC installed im hiting 11psi fast like should, then boost creeping to 21psi @ 5200rpm ish, dont think there is a pill installed.

1. Do I need to have the pill installed?
2. **** MBC?
3. NO BOOST LEAKS

When you install an MBC you need to eliminate the factory boost /vacuum hose assembly(which contains the pills) completely as well as eliminate the factory boost control solenoid(BCS). You must install your MBC with new hoses. Some MBC's already come equipped with precut hoses. Did yours? You don't want to reuse the factory hoses that contain pills, nor do you want to incorporate the factory BCS into the circuit.

there is no pills and no BCS in the circuit just regular boost line from compresser housing and one from wastegate to boost controller. Hoses are replaced and secure. Thinking its the boost controller? It was off my old car worked but was loaned out few times.

Does the car boost creep with a line directly from the boost source to the wastegate actuator without the MBC?

well to rule out boost controller take a small vacuum line and run it off nipple directly to wastegate...go out run the car if boost still runs the same then your boost controller isnt the issue...otherwise see if you can take apart your boost controller to see if the ball and spring are maybe sticking...

when you are asking for help, you need to give better information... mbc brand is critical info you missed out.

well did that i still got the same but it would creep up to 21-22psi at like 5k rpm 11psi was reached like less that 3k rpm so

as for the brand i would have posted the "Brand" if it was a brand name

your boost controller is turned down too much cuz if its only pullin 11 psi, but creepin up its tryin to run more boost so give it what it wants, and get tuned for it.....now did anyone mess with the wastegate preload...????

well smart "Guy", quit thinking you have a Honda and understnad you have an evo,

Try getting yourself a "Hallman", then do a boost leak test,... "Seach" and go from there.

Exactly how did you go about determining base WG pressure? Explain the proceedure that you followed, please. Did you just dial the knob on the MBC out all the way counterclockwise, or did you go the additional step further and adjust the WG actuator rod's turnbuckle tip until it just slid freely off and onto the peg located on the WG flapper valve's pivot arm?
