the new dw300 is suppose to be priced at 165.99 and standard walbro 255 is anywhere from 50-70. So the price for one is not that bad actually we are not talking about hundreds of dollars like a double pumper . just extra insurance nothing wrong with that.

I took 17 gallons very tightly strapped in my trunk in large plastic gas cans to my tuner that is about a 70-80 mile drive from me. Made it back home after tuning no problem. I would also suggest the new DW pump. It's not much more money and will give you some head room for future mods. Whatever you do just use the Tephra maps and map switching regardless of what your tuner is telling you. Mine has been running flawlessly with 1200cc PTE's, stock IX turbo and a walbro at 28psi. I was worried about taking the e85 up to my tuner as well. Found the gas cans on craigslist for cheap. The tuning trip went off without a hitch just make sure you leave to come back home with enough fuel to make it to an e85 station. Oh and you won't ever look back after running this stuff. I gained 81hp on this yummy corn goodness. You might check into an email tune with somebody familiar with Tephra maps and e85 if you have or would be willing to get a Tactrix cable and laptop. Good luck!

Should I just pile two 5 gallon jugs in the back of the car? Or can i somehow put a full tank of e85 and drive it up there (with a set of 1000cc's)? Just trying to see how this will work out.

-Driveable on a pump gas tune
-Do i need to replace ALL of my fuel lines?
-Should i be worried about the corrosiveness of e85?
- Is there a way to tune on 2 boost settings? (autox is limited to stock boost, and id like to run sub 30psi on the street)
- Any other useful input from e85 users would be great.
is your tuner on li???

im tuning his car (I think lol).. theres no need for him to go anywhere with it, i think he was confused. will set him up for e85 scaling & latency, base fuel/ timing adjustments so he can flash the map and drive off at the gas station with e85.. you guys make it sound so difficult.

I think there was a misunderstanding on if i was able to tune his car remote and not in person.. not sure.

A lot of people dont understand how its possible to remote tune an evo without being there in person, but its simple.. tuner only cares about the log files.. I tune the car based on what the logs display. works fine, its how i tune my own personal car also. Unless the customers deaf its perfectly safe to do so.

Lots of times we will run into issues where the car needs checked or altered also.. lots of guys having timing off from aftermarket cams, or abnormal phantom knock etc.. so lots more involved then just changing maps and tuning on most these cars.

some circumstances where the person has no safe way of doing actual pulls on a road do require an actual dyno tho.

you still didnt put 34psi in your signature keath wtf?..

ok then put 34.4 in your signature after the power numbers. numbers would be higher if you had a real FMIC also.
