My 67-65 BB from Precision lasted 950 miles. I swtched to the FP HTA GT3794R and that one lasted 500 miles. They made about the same power. 850 WHP. Get the cheaper one and a spare.

Or something with a more stout center section like an efr.

I would say HTA86

I'm a fan of the Garrett based Turbo's:

HTA86
HTA82
FP6235

GTX35R

Dual Steel Ball Bearing, water and oil cooled; For the Win!

Only concern I have with the 6262 is the new air cooled (ie non-water) ceramic ball bearing centre core...

The older 6262's with the Dual Steel Ball Bearing, water and oil cooled cores - proved their reliabillity.

I ran my old 6262 without problem. Trapped mid 140s and was my street car as well. They are both solid turbos.

The older PTE 6262 that are water cooled i think are good and they make power. but the new ones suck in my own opinion. i would definitely spend the extra money on the hta.

Any specific proof to base your opinion on? I'm not being a dick I'm wondering for my own curiosity. I had the water cooled and sold it for a 67. My plans changed and Im going back to the 62 but it will be air cooled.
