Is it possible to be running too little boost for
my new intercooler

If it seems like u lost quite a bit of power then yes. If the ic is too big and ur piping is too big u will see a massive pressure drop and lose power. My buddy upgraded a side mount on his 2g eclipse and after it fell on its face.

I had something similar happen on my built civic. My piping was too big and when I went to a 2.5 inch cold side from a 3 inch it improved response and spooling. Not really sure about the intercooler but im sure it could have an effect. Im sure if you use a quality unit from ams, perrin, or buschur you won't have a problem at any boost/power level.

thanks guys for all your help took it up to stm and found that i has a monster boost leak got it fixed and no she's running better than ever .
