I currently have the engine out and torn down for balance shaft removal and I got to looking at my 2.3l 6 bolt from my old 2g. I know the crank wont work for obvious reasons, but it has eagle/weisco as well. I've been on Eagle's and weisco's website for about an hour comparing 2.3l 6 bolt to 2.3l evo pieces. The only difference I see on paper is the wrist pin diameter is 22mm on 7 bolt stuff. The rods and pistons I have are already matched with a 21mm pin. The bore is the same, the crank journal is the same as 7 bolts, the pin height is the same, the rod length is the same. What am I not looking at? Is the pin size really the only difference?
