Ngk iridium plugs for 500+whp?

I ordered a set of denso iridium plugs Ikh 24 but my friend had sent me the wrong plugs instead I received the ngk ilfr7h iridium plugs which are stock heat range..I read that the rule is every 100 whp extra 1 step colder is needed but I talked to some and even my old tuner said the ngk set I have now is better then the denso 1 step colder he said it idles better,Burns better and lasts longer is this true or the density is best? ??also funny thing is for my setup my plugs are called for .020 and the ngks were exactly. 020 is this how they always come from ngk?

They usually come from NGK .020 but you should always check them anyways. My tuner told me to gap them at .020 or .022 but others have different opinions about that.

The Denso plugs have a smaller diameter tip than the NGK, I would suspect the Denso to be better, I used NGK on my car because that is what the Evo's come from factory but now I swich to Denso and I have to say that the Denso plugs look better and to me perform better.

Depends on evo 8 or 9.....

We don't use any denso, we've never had good luck with them!!

I would use oem IR NGK with .18 gap on the evo ix....

As for the 8... We use bpr7eix, br7eix, or bpr8eix....

We have seen 750whp on our mustang Dyno on these....

I use the bpr7eix, iirc. Im not good with remembering all those letters. I keep a spare box to remember what to re order,. I do know they are the iridium that are 1/2 step colder than stock. I have had great success with them, but I have a question about Denso plugs. From having installed Densos on other cars I do notice that their ground end seems to be alot sturdier, and seem to require a bit more to get them to gap, using the proper tool of course. that to me would seem like a superior feature over a comparable brand, because the ground end would hold up over time more. What is it about Densos you dont like?

BR7EIX would be 1/2 colder than stock as it does not have a protruding tip...

BPR8EIX would be 1 step colder... (Protruding Tip)

BR8EIX would be 1 1/2 steps colder than stock... (Non-protruding Tip)
