Kind of a vague question... really depends on internals, driving style, tune, supporting mods, etc.

I think the op is talking drivetrain and assuming "proper launching".

well out of the whole drivetrain ya there transfer case is probly the weakest. if u launch the car perfect it shouldnt be a problem. a big messup on launch could cost u though lol. so if u want the insurance on it id say get it built by shep or someone

why do people assume transfer case is gonna break. If im not mistaken Mellon tuning evo(705whp) has stock TC an its fine. Long as your not launching crazy and can somewhat drive it should hold up just fine. Tranny is a different monster and I would build that for better gearing anyways. But i agree with SBR your wallet will be emtpy alot. way to much juice but if its a track only car who cares right.

I have broke more parts at low power and high torque than the other way round. I am not worried about power as much as low end torque. We didnt break rear axles consistently till around 900whp. DSS stage 5s fixed that issue. The drag car has worn Tcases out but not broken any. Its lost one rear end, tranny is relative to clutch and shifting (driver).
