Fuel pump issue need help

Fuel pump issue need help

Ok just installed walboro 255.. I put it all back and gas gauge will not read.. stays on empty. I pulled it back out and tried again still empty. here are some pics everything looks ok. Worked fine before. Anyone have any suggestions. Need to get this fixed today.

there is a little metal piece on the float arm assembly that contacts each spot as the level drops or raises.. make sure when u move the float that the signal piece is contacting.. hard to explain but if you take a look you should be able to figure out what i mean.

Yes it has to touch.

If anything get an ohm meter and check the operation while moving the float.

Thank you both very much. I feel like a tard.. OMG i pulled that pump in and out of my car 6 times.. BRARRRRRRRR.. It was 20 degrees in my garage. Anyway that metal tab was wedged up in the plastic harness. Here is a pic incase anyone else has an issue. Thanks again for the help. YOu guys saved my arssss..
