Tested: 1 million cycles Synchronic BOV/DV durability

Thanks again to the everyone in the EvoM community that use our valves. We're always working to improve and validate the design. More recently we've conducted a 1 million cycle FMEA (wikipedia) of our valves.

In our test, we actually went into 1,250,000 cycles, to provide a reasonable error margin. We even went as far as to sabotage our own products by wiping lubricant off and having bad tolerances to produce a worst case scenario. The valves were making high pressure at even a 2.7hz frequency, so if your turbo can build the boost quickly, we can seal it.

After well over 1 MM cycles, there is absolutely no metal-to-metal contact or wear. What was to be expected was wear from the o-rings. Even then, you can see that the valves actuate just as fast as cycle 1 (video on facebook.com/synapseengineering).

There are many people out there that mistakenly compare the Synchronic technology with DV/BOVs that are piston driven using a Brass/Aluminum piston that galls with the body, wears quickly and requires frequent maintenance. There is no way that those valve designs even come close to the performance of Synchronic. We will document the differences to back up this claim.
