Which blocks can I use?

Just recently saw the limit on my motor and now I need new a stock bottom end to start over with. Which blocks can I use? I have an EVO 8 so do I have to go with an EVO 8 block only or will the 9 work or the 4,5,6,7 or and eclipse model work.....I know there are different 4Gs out there but which ones can I use with no headaches?

Thanks

You can use an Evo IX or an VIII block in your VIII. The only issue you will run into with putting in a IX block in an VIII is the oil pressure sending unit connectio on the back of the block. On the VIII's, the thread is 1/8" NPT, on a IX, it is M12x1.25 (Or 1.5 thread, can't remember which, I'm pretty sure its the 1.25 pitch though).

To put my IX block in my VIII, I bought an autometer adapter to go from the M12 to an 1/8" NPT thread. (I had to shorten the adapter because I believe it was for adapting a honda fuel rail to be able to run a Fuel Pressure Gage). It was an easy thing to do.
