The JIC Type II is extremely docile when compared to its SUS counterpart. I had no idea how loud my JIC SUS was until I pulled it off and installed the JIC Type II.

If you want to keep your power levels in-line with what you have now, I would go to a capable muffler shop, have them order some stainless bends and cut off the greddy muffler rear section, keep the rest of the exhaust and clamp/weld on a Dynomax VT pn 17957.

Project Valve Technology Muffler

Use youtube to find clips of various cars using this recently released muffler. My thoughts and "review" are in that thread as well.

Fujitsubo RM01A is nice and quiet but is not a constant 3" like your Greddy TI-C, so you will be losing power if you go that route.

I have a Perrin/Cobb catback with resonated tp as well and it's rather quiet. Sounds and looks almost stock when you compare it to most other evos with aftermarket exhaust. Makes my friends Evo with HKS catback sound like he's running straight pipe no muffler at all.

well to add my 0.02 im running an espelir jgt500 catback combined with a dc sports cat delete downpipe, those two are very loud combined what i did to help drop the noise, was after the down pipe flange, had 2 18" vibrant 3" preforated resonators installed inline on the catback, now the nice thing about a preforated resonator compared to a louvre style, is preforated restricts noise without restricting exhaust flow, whereas louvred style will do both, so there ya go, get a nice catback get your self a down pipe preferably not cat delete downpipe, run a 100 cell high flow cat, and youll have an exhaust that can flow 400 hp, while bein somewhat streetable, me personally i dont give a fu*k, i drive my car like that on the daily in cali and very seldomly get pulled over, partially cuz i obey all the laws now hahaha
