Or the Titanium twin scroll.. I suspect over time there will be other options for the stock turbo housing.. The stock turbo isn't so bad, we just have to wait and see.. I don't see the point in removing a perfectly good turbo to replace it with a real expensive turbo kit, when you already have a decent turbo on the car. Honestly, I wouldn't have spent $1500 on just a manifold.. But its his choice, and I'm sure the performance gain was worth it to him.

Also, some forms of racing require the stock turbo that was available on the car as a production item..

Oh.. BTW, Jet-Hot coating is about $160 not including shipping for their sterling finish, but it may not be high temp enough for the temps of our exhaust.. They have a better finish thats slightly more, but not very pretty looking.

Nope... It mates to the same turbo in the same manner as stock.. it just offers less restriction.

I don't know what youre talking about, but this manifold did not cost me near $1500. I even paid less than half of that.

I'm still debating how I should get my car tuned. When I do, I will keep you posted.

How thick is the tubing and flanges? Also, is the turbo in the same spot, or does the manifold shift it a bit?

Not 100% sure, I can measure the thickness of the tubing when mine shows up on Monday.. But everything ends up where it was before.. From the photos the flanges look pretty hefty.

Question

Is this the only header available for the EVO that retains the stock turbo?

Do you feel the turbo spools up quicker? Any loss of boost pressure?

There are a handful for the twin-scroll setup. HKS is one for example.

very nice

any other companies make an exhaust manifold that mates up to the stock turbo housing? (this was already asked in this thread...but asking again)
