Rewiring it is the only way to see a gain that you were planning on seeing, at least for me. However I had to change injector settings a lot from al Hz range and deadtimes to get everything back in line. Pretty sure I'm overruling he stock fpr now, but there a ton more fuel at wot.

I went throught the firewall via grommet in the middle of the car that goes right into the center console, under the cd player. Ran the power wire from there along the drivers side of the car to the fuel pump, wired up the relay there, (FYI you only have to cut the white wire on the pump harness, attach that to 2 of the pins, hook your powr up, and a ground). I left the relay under the seat and boom you're done.

10ga wire, one relay, some soldering amd youre done. Did it for free with leftover wire and a relay from other cars.

Not liking the whole rewire at all that go back to DSM days what I didnt know was that this would require a rewire and adjustable fpr to make work

Um, a rewire is a good idea anyways. Why would you not want to have a constant, higher voltage to your pump? I guess its all a matter of opinion and how important it is to go fast. Its something that I need/want to do is to squeeze everything out of an intank pump.

Either a $5 rewire and a DW pump, or a double pump setup....

Rewire isn't $5, try 30, yet worth it. DW sells their own, as well I was pushing 550+ without the rewire, on a dw301 that is, but now i have that extra security.

I'll do a writeup when finished.

Sorry, $5 cause I had parts and wire laying around. Reguardless, its worth it IMO.

you would need to do this to maximize either pumps. those pumps draw a lot of electricity/amp that the stock wires can't handle and a rewire kit should fix it. if you are maximizing a 255 wally i would suggest getting the rewire done.

I just got an aeromotive 340lph pump. Please explain what exactly needs to be rewired as this is to be installed in a JDm Evo IX GSR.
Thanks in advance
