Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield
Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield
I have recently been trying to make my engine bay more eyeball friendly.
The next thing on my list is a heat shield for the exhaust manifold.
After seeing some bling ones, I saw the ones from Buschur. The polished one looks great, but really isn't the theme i'm going with.
I saw the brushed one, and think it looks great.
My question is, how will this brushed stainless hold up in the long run? It will be subjected to very harsh environments. I just don't want to buy one and have it looking decrepid after a year.
Anyone have any long term reports on their heat shield?
Pictures are definitely a bonus.
Thanks!

You can ceramic coat your heatshields if you don't want a polished one. I coated all my hot bits, heatshields included so they're all the same color (satin gray). Still holding up pretty good, just don't set your tools on it or anything
If you want it shiny they can do shiny too, Chromex I think. Performancecoatings.com is where I go (local in Auburn to me).
