How many miles since your clutch install? Also, with an semi-intermittent issue like yours, I doubt you're looking at serious problems. I've had the syncros fail in some of my DSM's and it's pretty harsh; there's a lot of grinding and vibrating...and not in a good way.

I've driven many Evos, yet no MR's. I've also never used Redline in any of my cars. However, I can tell you the Amsoil in my 5spd is smooooth. Depending on your last transmission fluid change, it may be worth a shot!

 

It should be OEM fluid in the 6 speed...

 

Is it really a huge problem if i were to try amsoil? I have oem fluid in there now, but as long as the weights are correct, its not going to hurt me to try it?
