Hi,
just wonder is there any pnp 2.3L crankshaft for evo 4~9 which we can maintain the oem rods lenght, 85.5mm piston and oem rods and crank bearings?

If you use a 2.4l block then you can use them. Otherwise, you will have to get shorter pistons to accomidate the longer stroke that a stroker (2.4l) crank will give.

Yeah, can't imagine why you wouldn't replace those while everything is apart

He said "OEM rod length" Which I hope thats what he really meant, the length, not stock rods.

Why would that matter though? If he's going to buy Rods anyway he might as well get ones made for the stroker.

Lol you can use aftermarket rods that are the same length as the stockers and use shorter pistons if this is a 2.3l 4g63 block/64 crank.

Hi, yes you are right, im currently using a forged BC rods with oem rods length and 85.5mm JE pistons.

Just hope that there is 2.3L stroker crank for oem rods and pistons size (I mean not Mit Oem rods and pistons).

1) Let's say if i want to use the 4G64 crankshaft, what rod length and pistons size should i go for?
2) Is there any other crucial things i need to mod (engine block, over size bearings (rod & piston), water & oil ways, oil squitters, etc) for my 4G63 engine?
3) Can i maintain the balance shaft?
4) Can i use back my current crank sensor?

Thanks

1. Use stock rod length and shorter piston (order the pistons for a 2.3)

2. U will need over size bearings if the crank was turn. U need to tweak a litle the oil squitters for clearing the path of the piston.

3. Eliminate the balance shafts. (U can get the racing balance shaft for the oil pump from AMS)

4. U can use your current crank sensor.

1 - use the stock length rod, and a piston with 1.13" compression height (6mm higher than stock)
2 - no, just need to clearance the block where needed (number 3 piston for me)
3 - yes, 4g64 is equipped with balance shafts from stock
4 - yes

Hi Guys,
thanks for sharing but im a bit confuse on the piston size as 6mm higher than stock but some said smaller piston? So, what does it mean? Sorry for the nob question...

Hi Mike, what do you mean clearance to the block on the no 3 piston?
Will my rods able to match the new 2.3L crank?

James you need a stoker Style Piston like this:

Wiseco: K596M855
(for 100mm Crank)

You cant use the stock 2L piston it has to be a Stroker Style Piston...

#3 rod hit the block so i had to clearance it.
the Pin for the piston is 6mm higher because the stroke is 6mm longer at each end of travel. (12mm total, 88mm to 100mm.)
So this brings the piston 6mm lower, leaving it level with the deck.
