Boost guage reading too high?

I recently installed an autometer ultra-lite boost guage. I am on a stock turbo (TD05HR-16G6-10.5T) in my 05 evo. I am reading 30psi. I am just about positive everything is wired and plumbed correctly. Anyone know if autometer guages are any good?

If it is a mechanical boost guage, when the car is off does it read "0"? Autometer guages are typically pretty good quality in my experience...

It is a mechanical boost guage, however its reading 10 psi when the engine is "off" and at idle it sits at like 10ish as well. At full throttle it is at 30 PSI. I have a manual boost controller as well.

at idle it should be reading vacuum in In. Hg. below 0. anything above the 0 is positive pressure or aka you are under boost. if you are reading 10psi at idle, then your gauge is defective.

Needs recalibrating. Contact your supplier or the manufactuer directly, they might send you another.
