How is the low speed drivability and low end torque? Any loss of power down low? A few days ago, David Buschur posted: "The [264] cams definetely take away some of the low end hit the car has stock." Is that your experience as well?

So no one has experienced any problems with the cams? Sounds good so far. I have the BR 3" turbo back, I/C pipe, and filter with MAF pipe. I will be dropping in the 264's and getting a custom dyno tune of the XEDE. I want to stay at around 21-20.5psi and 11.2 on the a/f ratio. I would like to have close to 400whp on 93 octane,or atleast be close. So with no major drawbacks I will be on my way with this setup.
Thanks

I just put in the 264/272 combo (with a full 3" exhaust w/cat) and the idle is a tiny bit lumpy. There is a massive boost in low and myde range power, the turbo makes usuable boost no @ 2600rpm vs. ~3100rpm stock. With Shiv's tune this weekend look out. Bottom line bottom end is BETTER that stock you can really feel it at part throttle.

Yes, but those tests were on Eclipses... not Evos... Although similar motors, identical results aren't happening.

Id run 272/272... or if you're on a budget just run the 272 exhaust, you should net about 26 HP from just the one.

the cams of 264/265 netted me about 25hp on a mustang dyno. and the idle is fine, my torque curve was fairly identical before and after cams. i need to find my sheet and scan it.

Yeah. If we install any of these combos. Will we pass emmisions? That is very important to know I think. If we don't pass what do you do? Change them back out?

Has anyone read this months Modified Mag , there is a good article in there about the cam and the tunning on the evo. Along with a bunch of different mods. They maxed out there hp at 363 hp on a 2 wheel dyno so basicly putting about 330-335 to the wheels.

no, guys, simple as this..listen closely...(screaming in your ears) WITH THE 264/264 combo, all qualities are identical to stock cams, you have to listen very closely to tell the difference. idle the same, sounds the same, drives the same, no loss of anything, the curve is the same as stock cams, just higher.

any 272 combo i cannot speak for as i dont have them. all i know is the 272 is lumpy.
