Question Tial BOV not opening?

Well recently I've been having some stalling issues after a boosted run. Car will run perfect until the run...after that it wont stay in idle. I dont know what it can be but I've seen that the Tial BOV wont open when I rev the engine (without a load) unlike the videos posted on Tialsport.com. Thinking that maybe its getting stuck open after a hard run. I checked the vacuum source and it seems to be working perfect with a strong vacuum.

BTW, tried to email Tial, and all email accounts returned undeliverable.

Ok i just lubed it. Has the "raw" colored spring. That sucker is extremely strong. I couldnt contact Tial to verify spring with the 280 cams.

with 280 cams you probably need the -6 or -8psi spring...did you recently do the cams?

It has the raw color spring. Cams were changed last year. Same time with this BOV.

You need to find out how much vacuum the car pulls at idle, and choose the correct springs based upon that. The engine vacuum is what pulls the valve open. Are you using the original 50mm or the newer Q?

Ok. Well, the unpainted spring is for around -20 in/Hg. I doubt you are pulling that much vacuum at idle with 280 cams.

Well, assuming the conversion is the same as if you were doing a length measurement, that should be about -10 in/Hg.

BTW - You can hook up a laptop to the AEM and use AEMPro to actually see what your MAP sensor is reading @ idle.
