sorry to tell u man but anyone who told you that any of the hks cams need valvetrain upgrades needs to stay away from smokin the schwag haha....none of them not even 280 hks cams need to have them. Even the new hks cams that came out dont need them, the duration is higher then stock with is ok because that helps with overlap and will give the vehicle more power, but coincidentally more lope. Now the lift on the cams is so mild on the ramp rate and the lift itself, that it doesnt overpower the spring rate which our valvetrain is rated for....make sense??, so with the 264/272 cams, and stock turbo youll pick up quick down low torque and bottom end midrange power, but itll choke itself a bit in the top end due to the not as aggresive bigger duration. but hey for 250 with arps isnt bad...just make sure u install the arps the right way, and double check after runnin with the car, go back and make sure after a heat cycle or two that the nuts on the studs are properly torqued, cuz they can back up still.
