Depends on the motor and fuel type. Stock block 500 whp is pushing it, especially with the stock frame turbos that hit really hard. A 2.3L will spool faster and could make those numbers easily with an FP Red or Black. Running E85 makes hitting 500+ a breeze on any turbo FP Red or higher.

Maybe you should provide us with some more info, like stock motor vs built...fuel type...current mods etc.
I just made 515hp w/FP red on my stock block IX.

Your not gonna make good power using HKS 272's they make nice expensive paper weights though.

Seeing that NJ doesn't have E85 avail. everywhere let alone anywhere, you will need to get a larger turbo for pump gas.

FP red, BBK-B, etc..... but you will lose some spool up..

Good Luck

500whp is not pushing it on stock block. I know a lot of people that are 600whp on stock block. It is all about keeping tq below the 425 mark. The FP Black is the best turbo for stock block imo. The Black and Red almost spool identical, no reason to do a red. Go Green or Black, period. The Black will also give you some room to grow when you build the block

I made 540whp on my FP Red stock block and ran that for 1.5 years and never had a problem.

FP Red on stock block

HKS 272/280 vs Custom GSC cam. Straight back to back. GSC FTW
