downpipe clearence ac bracket

downpipe clearence ac bracket

well when i pulled the motor last weekend i decided to test fit a few parts and i am little worried about the down pipe clearing the ac bracket looking for any ideas ? so far i am thinking about machining the exhaust housing down and welding a vband clamp to it does anybody kno if the tial vband housings are smaller ?

I believe that the tial v-band housing is not as long as the GT style housing. I had to pick up a four bolt turbine housing from Tread Stone performance in order to clear my a/c.

good luck welding a vband onto that housing lol. what manifold is it? looks like a full race replica but yes you try to put a tial vband housing and make a custom downpipe. or get rid of the manifold.........

thats a standerd 4 bolt housing thats on the car now is the tread stone housing smaller ? i am going to give tial a call today

ive welded a vband to the housing before on a friends turbo it did crack but it was only welded from the outside i have pics of his 35r next to mine and its a awd motorsports manifold i have no problem getting a downpipe made it just looks like its going to be a very tight fit.

When I purchase my 3582 it came with the 4 bolt GT style housing. I had to purchase a t31 turbine houseing I believe. The older style has a shorter nose that connects to the o2 housing and clears the ac

i see well this turbo has a actual 3 inch discharge i wanted to keep because some of the other 35rs have the smaller one but i guess i will have to make her fit i confirmed with awd and they do clear ac ill post results.
