How do we spot the difference head on our ride? By looking at this..
As some owner of ix do swap in evo 8 head onto their evo. So i want to know the difference by looking at it.
As ix is a mivec head.

IX valve cover says MIVEC. valve covers do not interchange

 

Evo 9 head has two cam angle sensors.. Evo 8 head has one..
