How loud is the HKS 30th anniv

Question.....I have a Ultimate racing downpipe, test pipe and just received my HKS from Gruppe-s. I need to know if anyone
is or has ran this set up and how loud is it going to be?

Rating the stock exhaust note at 0% will it be another 50% or more...or just unbearable , just want to hear the people in the back seat if they are trying to get my attention.....Thanks alot guys...Thinking of having a dynoflash, but don't know ECU will make it in time for the x-mas sale.

I have the HKS downpipe, stock cat, and Carbon-Ti on mine and don't have any complaints. I can hear people just fine in the back seat.

I rode in a Evo with my setup, but it had the Perrin cat delete and it didn't seem any louder.

Don't know if this helps.

I rode in an EVO with HKS 30th aniv catback and it wasn't loud at all. I would say the increase over stock is minimal. Using your example I would rate it at 10-15% above stock.

Once i rode in an evo with AMS... cat-back itself i thought AMS was louder.. now looking forward to ride in an evo with ams cat-back as well as downpipe so i can compared it to HKS

I have the HKS 30th+Ultimate downpipe+ Ultimate 3inch HiFlow cat.. it is not that loud if u have the catback itself. Once you get the downpipe and the highflow cat, it becomes lot louder

personally, to me, it is loud ... especially when you go full throttle...

I plan on getting the 30th also, w/ hks downpipe. I just hope it is not as loud as my 99 si was w/ i/h/e.

Your Evo will never be as loud as your Si. I had a ITR with a AEM CAI and N-1 and my Evo doesn't compare with my setup on it now. If it is louder, it sure doesn't seem like it. Sounds alot cooler though.

I think that the hks cat back and downpipe sound perfect for the evo 8. Not that loud but a lot better than stock. That is the setup that i'm going for soon.

It is hard to explain really. It just has a nice, clean sound to it. It is louder than stock, but not raspy and nerve racking like it would be on a Honda.

Just because it's not 100 times louder it doesn't mean it doesn't sound better than stock. It sounds alot better than stock.
