sparky: I thought my first post was clear enough. Coolant travels through the rubber tubes, which attach to the TB metal lines/pipes/tubes.
There should be no danger of your TB overheating without the coolant lines. If anything, the coolant will be heating up the throttle body...not vice versa.

So I am assuming this is a common thing to do? I am curious as to if you bypass or delete if it will cause your idle to be messed up?

Okay. One hose come from the head... One comes from the waterpump feed pipe. Take the feed pipe hose and loop it over to the head pipe... This bypasses the tb. It does not effect idle... And the plate wont sieze do to overheating as mentioned on the previous page... The coolant lines heat the tb not cool it... Anywho. There is nothing else to block off and nothing else needs to be modified. Wont even need a tune... It doesnt effevt the tb perforamnce inany way other then allowing it to stay cooler... It extremely cold weather the plate may freeze under extremely long cruising periods. But if you floor it and allow the plate to snap shut it will free up. But thats only an issue in alaska... Hope ya'll enjoy... I heated the pipes on the tb and twisted them off... It gives a cleaner look.

it's not difficult; one line feeds the other drains. Pull both lines from the TB as seen in the below picture. Take one of the hoses on the engine side and use it to connect both engine-side ports, done.

After some research it seems that 05/06 evo's didn't use a FIAV in the TB anymore so deleting the coolant lines shouldn't be a problem on those years.

They do, 03 and 04's supposedly have FIAV's, thats why some people that remove the coolant lines experience high idle at cold start for a longer period of time afterwords.
And just because the coolant lines look the same on the TB's, doesn't indicate if it has a FIAV or not.
Also to those saying it a popular mod with DSM's, it is, but in conjunction with a FIAV blockoff plate.
