Sparkplug Gap Recommendations
Damn, im seeing a lot of variation in gaps. The One Step Colder "8 Heat Range" has a stock gap of .032 and this is where i left it after i double checked each plug.
I had a few odd backfires in the past couple weeks running stock heat range 7s, so i checked my plugs and i was getting Pre Det in 2 cylinders so i decided to switch to 8s.
Everything seems to be running right, and it took care of some high gear hesitation that ive heard a lot of people talk about while just cruising, but i am still not 100% on the Gap.
Should i go down to maybe .028? Or should i leave it @ .032? & will it have effects on mpg
I am running stock 9 turbo 29psi on Pump 92oct making 394/381 on a Mustang Dyno.
I am trying to get all the parts for a COP kit together, i just need to order the harness connectors.
When i had my STi, running a GTX3071R 30psi on E85 making 455/413 i was running a tight gap @.016
My tuner swore by either .016 or .018 when running Ethanol at 30psi+
but im not running Ethanol, so im just looking for some opinions from others who have been through the same scenario.

Pump. English Racing has always recommended that gap. .028 is HUGE, I was getting phantom knock from ignition issues at .025 when they last tuned my car and that's with a COP setup
