For those who have replaced the upper main bearings with engine still in car
I just did all my main and rod bearings this past weekend, they all went smoothly except for #1 upper main bearing, I had to practically beat it out carefully, all the rest I could push up the one side with hand pressure and rotate old one out and new one in. I'm assuming its because the timing belt is putting pressure on the snout of the crank and making the bearing hard to come out/in. Is this normal?
