Hey boys....on the weekend I decided to fix an exhaust leak. I ripped off my exh manifold and i found a stripped stud thread in the head.....yep no probs! I tapped it and helicoiled it.....as I finished installing the helicoil the end tag that you're supposed to break off and remove slipped and it fell off my pliers....it turns out that the lower studs have oil galleries behind them.....my question is....will that tag do damage? I'm under the impression that they're oil drain galleries and I'm hoping someone can confirm that. If they're drains then can I assume that it'll just stay in the sump till next oil change?
