ever seen a clutch fork do this?



car has a competition clutches twin disk in it whre is flips the fork to become a push type clutch... lost my peddle while driving ack after some racing..... tore the trans out today and found the ears had both snapped off... ouch

lol dunno where the hell the springs went lol
ill have to read the competition clutch thing to see if i even reinstalled them to be honest i dont remember

Looks like a bad day, seen a lot of DSM ones bend and break, and a few evo ones bent, but never snapped off like that.

I've seen that once before on my buddys 03 VIII, I was skeptical that was the issue but when we pulled the trans sure enough it looked just like that.

i notice on competition clutch's website they offer a new upgraded 4140 Forged Steel 4G63 clutch fork im wondering if it is compatible w/ their twin disk and the evo 8 platform?

any competition clutch guys on here?

after talking to comp clutch i think we may not have the clutch pedal stop adjusted correctly and it was over pressing the TOB to the cover finding the weakest point being the clutch fork ears and snapped them... time to re adjust the pedal and pedal stop so this doesnt happen again@!

I happened to me 2 years ago driving a toyota with a ACT stage 3 clutch with stage 2 HD pressure plate.
It can happen when you down shift fast and the pressure plate fins are too aggressive (HD pressure plate) n also when no peddle stop...
Only happens with aggressive push type clutches on the standard clutch fork.
