2.4 block ?

Hi all,

Have the chance to pick up a 4G64 block from a non running engine.

What if anything, can I check in the yard to determine if it's worth buying?
Would hate to buy it and find out it's worthless when I took it for machining.

thanks

i mean the only thing you really care about is making sure the crank is good and block is in good condition your going to gut the block and remachine hone it anyways and of course balance the crank. the rest of the parts you are going to buy

Thanks, Rockmanx. just trying to determine if when I get there and take a look @ it, what go or no go things to look for.
In the big picture the initial cost I'm looking @ is negligible.

Of course the obvious; Check it for any cracks and make sure the crank is good like he said. Other then that the machine shop will take care of the rest
