Well I just got an 06 mr. It has a tbe and a gfb bov. When I go up to 5k in any gear it bogs hard as its a fuel cut. ANy ideas from anyone why it could be doing this? I do have a service engine light but have no way of checking it here in north cal. ANy help is appreciated.

 

Sounds like a bad spark plug to me...does it do it if you rev up slow and stay out of boost or only when your boosting?

 

Havent tried that but i will. It does it in boost for sure. But it only does it sometimes. SOmetimes it will rev all the way smooth, and just this morning and yesterday it bogged out around 5k.

 

Have you tuned it after adding parts? What's controling your boost levels? There's a cheap component you can buy for reading codes, it's called a Creader. Comes with a code book and retails around $45.

 

I just got it this past week. I have no clue if it has been uned or not. I dont think it has. I also dont think it has a boost controller. Where would I get that creader? Is thats all its for? Just codes? I was looking at some tuning info and was planning on getting that tactrix cable. WIll that read codes? Reason im asking is so I dont buy both and they do the same thing.

 

I believe they are the same.check the plug wires/ ignition wires also mabe a bad connection
