maybe, but I doubt it, and wonder why you would want to.

 

if its an emergency and you need to run it you can but why?? There are plenty of good Recirculation BOV's for under $200, maybe used, APS Twin vent for example.

 

I just threw some Cosworths in my car and went E85 with supporting mods, I will tell you from first hand experience 26psi on the IX MR Bov is pushing it. I am actually switching to an SSQV so I can run moar bewst. Stock parts = stock results. I say it all the time.

 

I've never seen a stock bov hold much.more than 28 psi at redline when crushed so I would doubt that 650+ whp is possible using one.

 

Why??? If you have the money to make 650 whp then I think you can afford a good Blowoff valve.

I'll tell you a trick, but I'm scared everyone will take my advice. Flip the 9 bov around.

As others have said, 27 or 28 psi is all that it will hold..

 

26-27 stock.

This one is not stock and doesnt leak at 40psi.

 

If you take a totally stock DV in your hand and actually study it, you'll see that what you are saying is kinda nonsensical. If you were to just flip it, it wouldn't open at all under boost pressure. It is just built that way. It's not AC/DC
