i have been reading and watching a few videos on this.
when i press my clutch pedal in it makes a loud ticking noise almost like rod knock sound.when i release the clutch the noise stops...

i have read people saying bad TOB ?
seems a little strange as its a new TOB installed maybe 2000 miles ago

clutch is an ACT hd

any other ideas>?

 

That's a throw out bearing noise. If the TOB was included with the ACT kit, then it is quite likely that is the cause. Some have had better luck with a OEM TOB.
