6262 questions for building a kit

So im new to this larger frame turbo thing so i have a few questions to all the 6262 people on the site. Yes i have searched but this site is so large its hard for me to find things iv been on here long enough to know lol.

1. with the larger compressor cover being 4'' what intake would i use since im still on MAF?

2. since iv been runing a fp red for a while now im useing the fp oil line to my oil filter housing, what will this turbo as it is a BB need for oil pressure and is the line from the oil filter housing to much pressure? will a line of the head be enough pressure?

3. If i change my oil feed to the head iv already looked and cant find any kits for feed and return along with the coolant lines?

4. Since my red is still on the car i havent been able to check if my current down pipe will work and im sure it wont so is there anybody who sells a new down pipe for what im looking for? if not i have a local guy who ill have make my mani and other such items like that for my.

well i think that about does it so to any 6262 owner that responds thank you very much in helping me get my project going so i can finally run this bad boy on my car

Are you getting a journal bearing or ball bearing? which a/r you goin with? I have an 83 and love it. My oil line is from my filter and works just fine. More than likely you will need a new downpipe. I got mine from turbotrix to match my manifold but I'm sure you could probably get one from just about anywhere.

well i know with ball bearing they dont need as much oil as a journal bearing so thats why i ask and i checked their web site but didnt find anything about down pipes for a larger turbo

If it is a water cooled 6262 it uses a garrett center section and does NOT have the built in restrictor that the newer ceramic bb chras have. You will need i beleive a .035 restrictor if using the filter housing. Any T3 manifold will work and most use the 4bolt flange for downpipes as well.

Good luck!
