Turbo XS intercooler

Can anyone give any feedback on this intercooler? Fit/Performance? I have a crappy OBX one that was on the car when I bought it. I was looking at an ETS, but I found a good deal on a TurboXS one... Thanks

You're still going from crappy FMIC to crappy FMIC but at least the fitment is good on the XSpower.

Why do you want a new intercooler? You must not need one that bad since your looking for the cheap way out. Granted there are few running the SX and making good power. But it comes with a price of cooler, denser air which your car has to work harder to compensate the crappy intercooler you chose with more hot airt. The XS isn't going to cool the charged air much (if any) better than the OBX.

Most are going to tell you to go with the ETS, AMS, or Buschur. Don't skimp out on performance parts.

Piro you got the wrong IC all together, ch53 i didnt think the turbo xs was a cheap one, i have a hard time believing a $500+ dollar IC performs like an ebay one...

the turbo xs fmic are pretty good for a smaller turbo. a fp-blk or larger, get a real fmic, ets 4.0, buschur race, cbrd, ams...you get the idea.

here is some data i collected a long time ago

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...view-data.html

i am very happy with my ets 4.0 (latest core)

I run the 3.5" Turbo XS (NOT THE XS POWER ONE... Completely different thing here people) and I have been very happy with it. Fit was not great but nothing that didnt let me get it on the car. The top bracket was about 1/4" off to one side so I had to bend it a little. Also it rubbs a little on the stock mesh in the front bumper. Just get some wire snips or a small cutoff wheel and that will solve that problem. Power gain over the stock one was around 5 or 8 by my "seat of the pants" dyno. Never did a back to back log like I should have but it definitely pulls much harder on longer runs like a 3-4-5 pull where I could really feel the stock one heat soaking.

im stuck between the ams and cbrd..is the garrett core worth the extra money over the ams core? are gains the same? reason i said these two is because i want a cooler that requires no cutting or trimming

I got a turboxs intercooler in the classifieds section now!

I just saw a good deal on a 4" ets one, so I picked it up.

I was running 30psi on a hta green with the turboxs, no problems.
